Pick One

I'm a bit emotionally drained tonight, so this post will mostly just show some more adorable pictures of our princess! Please hug your babies tightly tonight and do something, anything to make a difference for the world wide orphan crisis. Say a prayer for an orphan before you go to bed tonight. Pick the little boy who is rocking himself to sleep tonight (and rocking himself all day long, day after day, for that matter), or the baby girl old girl who cries and screams while she waits to be fed. Maybe you'll choose to pray for the child who sits all day long bored out of her mind, but who never cries because she's learned nobody will come anyways. Perhaps you'll want to pray for the child laying in her own urine, or the one staring into my soul begging me with his eyes to be his mama. Perhaps you'll choose to pray for the child who you know is yours in your heart, waiting alone tonight for you to stop living in fear and act! It doesn't matter which one you pick, but just pick one and pray for that orphan tonight.

Our sweet girl is the bright spot of all of our days here. She is just one, but she is loved and wanted and cherished. Soon she will officially be a daughter, and a sister. Soon she will know what it is like to be a part of a family!

Praising the Lord that he knows us well enough to know exactly how to lead us on this journey!

  3. Sarah, we all know that the situation has been emotionaly draining for you.But remember that this will be your third adoption, how many can say they have even adopted one? By your postings others are reading about you and I am confident that it will get others to consider adopting.Once you go to court and curlie gurlie is officially yours, you will go home enjoy time with your precious girls at home and before you know it you will be flying the friendly skies brining another special American citizen home. Please take care of yourself, get rest, eat properly and enjoy your stay there and do fun things when not visiting Ms Angel.

  4. You sound so exhausted in this post, Sarah... I can only imagine how HARD it is to see all those other children longing for attention, love, stimulation, etc and to feel helpless in the face of it. After all, YOU can only do so much! But remember, HE is MORE than capable! HE can work miracles and move mountains to change the future of orphans in that country and others--and I believe He is doing so! But yes, I will pray. My heart aches for all those sweet ones without families to love them and meet their needs!

  5. She is so very precious:) Praying for all to go great and quickly for court! I think you have to come home for a while before you return to bring her home forever. Can't imagine how hard that would be! And how confusing for your darling daughter:/ Do they keep your photo book there so they can keep showing it to her and telling her that Mama and Papa will come SOON!!

  7. Thank you for sharing your heart and advocating for all of the other little ones who wait. Last night I laid in bed and had so many faces swimming in my head. We will continue to pray, educate, and support financially whenever, wherever we can. It's amazing how many precious children HAVE been found and I know that God will keep opening hearts for more! (((BIG HUGS)))!!!

  8. Pick one for me, wish it was that easy. I hear your heart and understand. Please know you are being prayed for, the orphans are being prayed for. All we can do is make a difference one child at a time, hang in there and know your family is covered in prayer.
