SDA appointment

We had our SDA appointment and it went well :) Her birthday is March 11, 2011, so who was right? I don't have time to check...haha. We were allowed to trade for the picture they had on file. This picture was taken 2 months ago, so pretty recent. She has eyes that look a lot like Zoya's and looks like similar hair color too. She is so teeny tiny!!! We aren't going to announce anything about her name yet but she has a very unique birth name :)

Waiting outside for our appointment

Rubbing the beetle on the statue for good luck!

We showed tons of pictures of Zoya and the SDA worker could NOT believe it was the same child. She kept saying, no Syndrome Down! no! She couldn't believe Zoya has DS and is doing all the things she is doing!!! Oh I love being able to show off....in a teaching kinda way of course!!! If people here only knew what our kids are capable of....so much misinformation....

More to come later! Leaving now!

  5. Wow!!! The story about Zoya's pictures gives me chills!! I think it is so incredible the difference you are making, in her and around the world. That teeny baby in the picture has NO idea how her life is about to change. It is going to be miraculous!!
(I was wondering why you were rubbing the statue's bum.)

    A question:
    1. What does "trading" the photo mean... do they swap for a picture you have?

I agree with the others--this tiny soul has nooo idea how much her life is about to change for the better and what a loving mommy, daddy and big sister she is being blessed with! She's a cutie! God bless you in your travels and I pray Zoya continues to feel peace as her beloved mama and daddy are away getting baby sister!

  17. So is it ironic that Zoya's birthday is one day after mine and "Harlene's" birthday is the same day as Will's? I think you pick babies with good birthdays!
