Dear "Zofia,"
We are waiting for a very special phone call. A phone call to tell us when we are allowed to visit your country, meet you, and begin the process to bring you home where you belong. I've been looking at the calendar a lot lately wondering how many more sleeps until I can hold you. I've been doing lots of crazy things like cleaning the kitchen floor at midnight, organizing closets, stocking up on essential items for our house to prepare for your arrival (so much apple juice that the man at the store asked me why I needed so much!), gathering some clothes that will be yours and only yours, and dreaming of your beautiful face every day!
Your Daddy is so excited to meet you. You will love him. I can't imagine a better Daddy in this world! He works so hard to provide for his girls and is the best example of love that you'll ever know! You have a big sister, Zoya, who is very happy that you're going to be a part of our family. She asks about you every day. Zoya gives the best hugs and I know she is saving a special hug just for you! You have another big sister, Mila. Mila will be so happy to have a friend to play with while Zoya is at school! She will teach you how to get into lots of trouble doing things like eating dog food and dumping out toy baskets. You have a doggy sister named Mya. I'm not quite sure what she'll think of having another sister here :)
Yesterday we put our Christmas tree up since we'll probably be with you in December. I couldn't help but feel something was missing....that something is you! As I watched your sisters light up with excitement looking at the tree, I pictured you sitting right there with them clapping your hands! I pictured having all 3 of my girls under the same roof celebrating each day.
There are so many things I don't know about you yet.....so many things I can't wait to find out. Mostly, I am longing for the moment that the orphanage workers pass you into my arms and I can begin to pour my love out onto you. I am so anxious to just wrap my arms around you and tell you I'm going to be your mommy forever! I'm so very excited for you to realize that you are loved and cherished and wanted!
Sweet dreams Curlie Girlie! Mama loves you!
