4th Visit!

Tonight we got to see our lovely girl again! It was hard to see her crying when we got there, but she quickly came out of her shell and even laughed a lot tonight! She said DADA!!!! Maybe it was a fluke, but she touched Shawn's face and said "Dada" clear as day! All four of us in the room gasped. In fact, here is her face after she said it (so proud)!! and if you look in the corner you can see Shawn's shocked reaction to her saying it!!!!!

She is simply amazing. She LOVES attention! The few times we were chatting with one another instead of playing with her she started yelling and smiling like, "Hey what about me?????" As soon as we gave her our attention she just smiled so big! She crawled all over the place tonight. She has an arm like no other and I thought I lost a tooth for a moment! She likes to whack us with toys and throw them just like Mila! She loves rattles and anything that makes noise.

And I saved the best for last! Awesome videos!!

Oh How I can't wait to just get her home!!!!!!!

Many of you are asking about a time frame. We expect to hear this week (hopefully early this week) when court will be. It would be absolutely amazing if court could be this upcoming week, but I doubt it. Probably the next week some time. Then we have the mandatory ten day wait like we did with the other girls (no chance of this being waived). We will likely both return home during this time unless something changes....and we are hoping we can have her home by the end of December! It doesn't look like she will be home in time for Christmas, but we may be back here with her for the second trip on Christmas depending on how the timing works! She'll be the best Christmas gift ever!

  1. I LOVE Shawn's face after she said dada! She is so precious Sarah and I am hoping to swing by to say hi to you guys when I go see Summer! It has been an honor watching you guys become parents, from Zoya, to Mila, to Curly Girlie, it's just been a great inspiration. You guys are SO lucky to have such beautiful daughters.

  4. Oh, I don't think that was a fluke. Look at her face - she knows what she's saying. And, HELLO GERBER BABY! With that face and hair, she really should be the next Gerber Baby model. So precious!

  8. Her giggles are priceless!! Love the videos--ty for sharing your journey with your blog readers, Sara and Shawn! Curlie Girlie is adorable--and, like others have said, I don't think the "Dada" was a mistake. She looks sooo proud of herself!

  9. Curly girlie looks is so adorable. But what strikes me most is how incredibly happy and healthy sh looks. She is wonderfully chubby (so adorable!), has healthy looking hair and always appears dressed in clean and age approtriate clothing. She seems full of joy, strength and vitality. An orphanage is in no way a home but how well she looks taken care of, seen in your photos, speaks in my opinion volumes about the fact that she is well loved and well cared for. And what an incredibl blessing that is!

And I can´t wait to know her name. Although I´m guessing that Joy will be a part of her name ;)
