Court is on!!!!!!!

What a roller coaster of a day!!!! I knew this would be a nail bitter, but I really didn't think it would be cut THIS close! Our papers had to be signed and put on the overnight train by 7pm tonight. All day long we weren't sure if this was going to happen. At 5:45 we got a call that the papers were signed but that there was very bad weather in the capital city and the traffic was terrible. They weren't sure if they'd be able to get the papers to the train on time to get here by tomorrow morning. It is a 15 hour train ride fro the capital to this region, so if the papers missed that train there was no other way to get them here (although, believe me, we were brainstorming!) We DID pray that the papers would be signed, and they WERE, but in typical adoption style, another obstacle reared it's ugly head! Our facilitation team is AMAZING and they were not willing to surrender! At about 7:45 we FINALLY got the call that the papers were on the train!!!!!!!!! You have no idea how excited we were!!!!!

We had a busy day of visiting, taking Curlie Girlie out for her passport photo, buying train tickets back to the capital for our 10 day wait trip home, buying some diapers for the orphanage (see post below!!!) and waiting and stressing...lots of that!

Here she is in her first "machina" ride! She was a good girl and very calm for our outing!
(It was nap time hehe)

Court is tomorrow at 2:30 (7:30am home time). We expect everything to go fairly smoothly and quickly. Our train leaves at 5:22pm back to the capital and arrives at 8:12am....yep, you do the math ;) I'm not sure I'll be able to post until we arrive in the capital city, but I promise I will as soon as possible! I know you're all dying to hear her name and some more details :) Can't wait to share!!!! Thank you so much for your prayers tomorrow morning as we stand before the judge and ask to become Curlie Girlie's parents forever and ever!

  1. Are you in the same region you adopted Mila from? I remember you taking a train ride that was about 15 hours to her region from the capital city....

  4. What awesome news---thank you, Lord!! So glad that court is on! Also, so sorry I missed your last post about the diaper drive--I definitely would have contributed something! I know I also wish to contribute to "Curlie Girlie's" adoption fund. Are you still accepting donations for that? (I didn't think to look and see if the chip in is still active for that) Anyway, praying that court goes smoothly--and can't wait to hear your sweet girl's name!

  5. Just think by the time most of us wake up here in the States you will be parents for the third time. We are all excited for your family. Does that mean that Curlie Girlie will officially be in your hands free to fly and arrive to her home and sisters by Christmas? Carol

  6. She is pure joy; a good name for her too. Good luck tomorrow at court. I'm sure all will go well and you will have your little girl home with you before you know it. You'll be the parents of three beautiful children. You are blessed.
